Hi, I’m Greg

I’m Greg Greco, a Chicago-based new media and content specialist. I make video, motion, photography and design, and the systems that let me make a lot of it.
Severe scoliosis moved me out of sports as a kid and into making things. In sixth grade I was making graphics in GIMP because it was free, and teaching myself Blender to make Minecraft videos. Songwriting came next, then music production at 15, which I still do. High school was photography and Photoshop montage.
Design plus music added up to film, so I came to Chicago for a BFA in Film Editing and Post-Production at Columbia College Chicago. I picked up motion graphics there, and working as a DIT on film sets got me hooked on the data side of production. Once you learn one tool, you can learn them all.
In my career I’ve worked on a NASCAR sponsorship from the first merch file to the video after the win, covered conferences and a race weekend on my own, and built production pipelines that let one person handle a brand’s video, design and social content. Before that, I edited sponsored videos to client briefs and managed the library of advertising assets for a national retailer.
