The job

Brief in, edit out

Before the internship started, I made a sample video for TechnologyAdvice. Once I was in, the work was sponsored content. TechnologyAdvice sold sponsored placements on its YouTube and social channels. I’d get a brief and the raw footage, then either assemble the long-form video or cut it down for short-form, mostly YouTube Shorts. Sponsors appeared as mid-roll recommendations, like an AI writing tool inside a video about GPT-4o.

When a video needed graphics, I designed the assets in Illustrator or Photoshop, animated them in After Effects and brought everything together in Premiere.

The big one

First pass, no revisions

The biggest sponsor that summer, ZoomInfo, bought a video series with a brief that asked for “no frills but visually interesting.” My first pass was accepted with no revisions.
